The Colosseum, or the Coliseum, originally the Flavian coliseum is an elliptical coliseum in the focus of the city of Rome, Italy, the greatest always built up in the Roman Empire. It's looked at among the largest works of romish architecture and Roman technology.
Absorbing a site fair eastern of the Roman Forum, it is building commenced in seventy-two A.D.below the emperor Vespasian and was complete in eighty A.D. Below Titus,[two] with foster alterations being built during Domitian's reign (eighty-one–ninety-six).[Three] The name "Amphitheatrum Flavium" derives from both Vespasian's and Titus's home name (Flavius, from the name Flavia).
